Bio

Earthside is a New England-based creative collective that plays an unclassifiable style of modern progressive music they define as “cinematic rock.” Across their sprawling debut work, A Dream In Static, the seasoned group displays a wild stylistic diversity and creative hunger that jams the mental machinery of comparison and inspires awe.

Through organic layers of living, breathing orchestra (courtesy of the Moscow Studio Symphony Orchestra), and an eclectic arsenal of world music-influenced instrumentation, Earthside fashions an ever-changing sound that is every bit as fitting alongside a work of fine cinematic art as it is resonating throughout a densely packed concert venue.

A Dream In Static, the group’s conceptual mission statement, is a story of purposeful sacrifice and existential yearning told across sweeping instrumental movements, interwoven with adventurous vocal compositions featuring premier voices from across the rock and metal worlds (Lajon Witherspoon of Sevendust; Bjorn Strid of Soilwork; Daniel Tompkins of Tesseract and Skyharbor; Eric Zirlinger of Face the King and formerly of Seer).

Despite existing for only a short time under the name Earthside, which was chosen to better suit the direction of their current sound, the group, within their decade together, released two critically acclaimed records (under the name Bushwhack), played venues throughout the Northeast with international touring artists. Recently, as Earthside, they recorded the full-length record referenced above in Stockholm, Sweden with renowned producer and mix engineer David Castillo (Opeth, Katatonia, Bloodbath) and additional mix and mastering engineer Jens Bogren (Opeth, Soilwork, The Ocean, Devin Townsend).

Earthside is currently in the process of refining their internal infrastructure and honing their live setup to create a stunning multimedia experience for audiences that fittingly accompanies the cinematic nature of their music. The group is also exploring the extension of their collaborative spirit to the live setting via additional

instrumentalists and ensembles from all musical traditions. The band looks to open a dialogue with labels to explore possibilities for future work together and demonstrate the inherent potential in their project for significant success within and beyond the progressive, metal, and alternative music scenes worldwide. In particular, Earthside has a vested interest in collaborating with filmmakers and video game developers to further capitalize on the versatility of their score-like compositions and genre-transcending potential.

Earthside’s promotional and social visibility is currently low, and this has been an intentional choice. The band is currently sitting on a veritable treasure chest of promotional value as:
-Only one of the guest singers, mentioned above, have been publicly announced

-The group has video of all of the singers and musicians recording their respective songs

-Only two of the eight songs comprising the 65-minute debut album have been publicly released

-Earthside has established a significant base of contacts and industry credibility within the Stockholm rock and metal scenes from their time spent recording their album in Sweden.

-The group has a strong networking presence in the New York music scene (see Ben’s credentials below)

-They also have a strong networking presence in Los Angeles (via Frank and Jamie’s production work below)

Earthside’s intention has been to keep close guard over their promotional capital so that they can take full advantage of their complete PR push at exactly the right time, perhaps in collaboration with your enterprise.
